Starting something new is always an adventure, especially in times like these. In spite of the chaotic times we have been living in and a prolong period of travel limitations, God has given us creative ways to connect and continue blessing, encouraging and equipping people in Jesus’ name. Here are some of the things we’ve been up to this past year.
Tower of Prayer – April 2021
In the beginning of the year, God spoke very clearly to us about starting an international prayer gathering via Zoom. This wasn’t something we had anticipated being involved when we started Captivated International, but it is likely to be a foundational part of our ministry moving forward. God is full of surprises!
We are calling this prayer gathering the Tower of Prayer, which is a 24-hour online global gathering of God’s family in Christ to pray for His heart to be revealed and His desires realized in this world. We hosted our first Tower of Prayer on April 17-18. We had 51 people from 10 different countries coming together in prayer for the children of this world. Several participants shared how blessed and inspired they were to have an opportunity to pray with brothers and sisters from around the world.

It was indeed a beautiful picture of the body of Christ together from around the world to fix our eyes on Jesus and pray into God’s good, pleasing and perfect will for our children!
San Antonio – May 2021
Through one of our board of intercessors members, we have been building a relationship with a church in San Antonio, TX. On May 22, they gathered a group of their leaders together at a local retreat center where we connected with them via Zoom. Carla and I spent half the day going through one of our core teachings on Knowing God’s Voice with these leaders, including several activations and some private prayer ministry appointments. What a great experience! Virtual teaching has its limitations, but we were very encouraged by how well it went and the positive response from those who participated.
Baltimore – July 2021
In July, we had the honor and the privilege to speak at an event in Maryland through the invitation of a friend from Global School of Supernatural Ministry. Carla and I both shared a word that the Lord put on our hearts for the guests regarding the hope we have in Jesus amid the storms of life, and we also had the opportunity to do some prayer and prophetic ministry. We saw people encouraged in their faith and inspired in their walk with Jesus.
Brazil – August 2021
In August, we hosted a prophetic prayer event via Zoom with a group of people from Brazil. We were very touched by how blessed they were. A total of seventeen people received words of encouragement and blessing, including our wonderful translators. One participant was so touched by God that she could not stop laughing from the joy she was experiencing, while at the same time shedding tears of gratitude.
So much to give thanks for in this challenging season we have all been walking through. We praise God for his presence and faithfulness in our midst, helping us make the most of the time!
