What a delight to return to Croatia and spend time working once again with an incredible group of believers at EPC church in Rovinj. Like my visit last year, the people in their church demonstrated such appreciation and hunger for everything I (Clay) was teaching and preaching on. It was also encouraging to hear testimonies from my visit to Croatia and growth that’s happened since then. Goran and Katarina, and a few other church members, remarked about how the church was different after I came last year. This year, we traveled about 45 minutes south of Rovinj to Pula, another town in the region of Istria. Pastor Daniel, whom I met last year, welcomed me to his church in Pula to teach on Knowing God’s Voice.

Thursday evening in Pula, a young woman who had not been attending church for nearly 5 years came to the workshop on Knowing God’s Voice. She came up to me after the workshop to thank me for how much she appreciated the teaching and asked me to pray for her. After praying, she explained through tears how much she was encouraged by what I prayed and how it was exactly what she needed to hear. She also shared several personal things about how much hardship she’d been through the past several years. She also ended up attending the workshops in Rovinj.
In addition to providing some additional training on Knowing God’s Voice in Rovinj, I also did a training on healing of the heart, which helped many people, especially in the area of forgiveness. One woman shared this following my visit:
“The seminar was a quite revealing to me. For a long time I was a part of one church that promoted a lot of things connected with „Faith movement“ and a lot of conferences and seminars ware made regarding a prophecy and the gifts of the Spirit, but this seminar was truly sincere and normal without forcing anything or anyone. The truth was told and shown in such normal, easy way that everyone could understand it without feeling that something should be done or experienced. To me personally it was like a healing, because of all the bad experience that I had before, I started to open up again for the operating in the Holy Spirit gifts and that is just a miracle.”

The past several years, Pastor Goran and his wife, Katarina, have been faithfully pouring into their flock while also running a small business to support their family. Encouraging and supporting them in their faithful stewardship of this church family has been one of the most rewarding parts of our partnership with each other. They have also become good friends. We also had a beautiful testimony of healing from Katarina personally:
“This time when Clay came I was in much pain because lumboishialgija (disc herniation of L4 and L5). I did not sleep for one month, I was exhausted and worried if I could attend the teachings in church.” I prayed for Katarina every day I was in town, and she able to attend all the workshops and Sunday worship. At the end of my visit, she said: “And in this three days I was healed. I was able to sleep again, work without pain, walking, driving car…. Praise God!!!! I rejoice and I am so Thankful!!!! Hallelujah!!!” What a delight to see such a faithful servant of the Lord healed!
