Carla was hosted by EPC Rovinj church from April 24-29.  Ministry began Thursday evening with Carla sharing a message entitled: Jesus Is in the Storm, reflecting on the account of Mark 4:35-41.  Carla spoke briefly about our son, Davi, his organ transplants, and what our family went through during that time, both the painful and the miraculous.  She went on to explain how we often put our faith in what we know best from experience (for the disciples, storms they’d experienced as fishermen), rather than placing our trust in Jesus.  Coming to know Him better than anything or anyone else is central to this trust.

On Friday and Saturday, she attended a women’s retreat as a guest speaker, where she shared a message based primarily on Matthew 6:19-21 about finding our true identity in knowing God as our Father. Carla shared her experience of fatherlessness and how God filled her life and heart with the things she never received from her earthly father.  She also spent a significant amount of time doing prayer ministry among the twenty-six women, who came from four different churches.

On Sunday morning at church, she shared a message entitled, The Running Father, based on Luke 15:11-32- also known as the story of “The Prodigal Son.”  The message centered on the unconditional love of the Father for us.  She also incorporated some of her testimony of God becoming like a father to her and the experience of Him speaking to her growing up.  That evening, Carla did some teaching and training on the gift of prophecy, including several activations for people to practice.

It was a very fruitful trip!  Glory be to God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ! See below for a few more pictures and testimonies.

Personal Testimonies:

Since I know these people and what they struggle with and what they’ve overcome, I was very touched by the accuracy and sensitivity with which Carla spoke to each individual person.I believe this is her most remarkable gift and it is a great encouragement when she ministers in this way. –  Katka Dohnal

Carla brought us a greater hunger for God and for what he has for Croatia. God through her encouraged us, comforted us and built us up. We could see God’s heart for us. – Katarina Roksandić

Carla had prophesied to me that God will use me to lead people out from dark tunnels to the light. After receiving this encouragement, God led me to one woman from church, who was lost at that moment in life and not walking with God or going to the church for a few years. We started to talk and she opened up with me, telling me all the hard things in her life. Then, she asked me if is too late to come back to God. God reminded me of the word that Carla gave me and, in that moment, I leaned with God’s love for her and said to her it is never too late for her. I told her: God is waiting for you with open arms. He is with you. He didn’t leave you and he loves you and he is waiting for you. Then she started to cry as God touched her heart. She hugged me and I saw how much it meant to her. I am so thankful God encouraged me with that word from Carla.Barbara Marusnik
