India Ministry School Training – February 2023

This new year started with an incredible opportunity to pour into 38 ministry students in India who are attending Training Leadership College International based in southern India (January 30-February 3).  I taught these eager and receptive young students through Zoom for about two hours each day.  The first day, we talked about leadership from the perspective of the life of Moses, discussing some of the challenges you face as leaders, both in form of external opposition, but also our own internal struggles. The next four days, we went through our training on Knowing God’s Voice.  The students [...]

Blessing Nepal 2022

Goats for Families and Motorcycle for Ministry Each year, Captivated International has a commitment to give 10% of its revenue to support other missions.  In 2022, we partnered with a ministry based in Kathmandu that supports churches and missions throughout Nepal.  Carla developed a relationship with this ministry in 2020 when she was there on a missions trip.  This ministry was able to arrange the purchase of 36 goats, which were distributed to 36 families from three different churches in Nepal.  Among those 36 families were the families of four pastors, who have been serving their local churches and communities. Pastor Habil, who facilitated [...]

2022 Year End Report

Sharpening Our Curriculum  This year, we spent a significant time continuing to develop, improve and add to our training and teaching curriculum on Knowing God’s Voice, healing ministry, gifts of the Spirit, healing of the heart, discipleship, and spiritual warfare.   We want to continue to always improve on what we offer, thinking creatively about how to engage the whole person (heart, mind, and spirit) in everything we teach. Tower of Prayer - April and October 2022 This year, we were delighted to continue hosting our semi-annual Tower [...]

Eyes on the Prize

Written by Clay Millener, Executive Director Have you ever been encouraged to “keep your eyes on the prize?”  Perhaps you heard this as you were going through a season when distractions and difficulties seemed to be constantly assaulting you on that path to the ultimate goal or reward you were pursuing.   What are the “prizes” you are contending for in your life right now?  A degree?  A promotion?  A romantic relationship? A championship of some sort? A year-end bonus? A dream vacation or big screen TV? It’s an important question because the promise of prize often enables us to press through the adversity.  [...]

An All-Consuming Fire

Written by Daniela Kerekes, Captivated Int'l Board Member Perhaps the first thing many people think of when they hear that God is an “all-consuming fire” is judgment.  But let me tell you from personal experience, there is SO much more!  Not too long ago, I served at a camp hosted by Christ for all Nations (CfaN) where I had a life-changing encounter with God and the reality of His fire.  One night, one of the team leaders taught about the fire of God, and as he spoke, I felt a stirring in my spirit.   At the end, he called everyone to the front [...]

A Voice Like No Other

“…and his voice was like the roar of many waters.” Revelation 1.15 Have you noticed that certain voices seem to carry more weight or “gravitas” than others? When I think of famous voices, the first name that comes to mind is James Earl Jones—the actor who did the voice of the original Darth Vadar in Star Wars. He could read a simple grocery list, and people would be on the edge of their seat. The sound of someone’s voice can be an incredibly powerful force in our lives. It can make you cringe and cower; it can lift you up and inspire great things. A [...]

December 2021

We finished this year with some encouraging ministry and made some big decisions regarding the future of Captivated International. Carla and I are devoting more and more of our time and energy to this ministry and are excited to expand our capacity to inspire and equip people to pursue God’s best for their lives. Here are a few highlights from the end of 2021: Tower of Prayer – October 2021 We hosted our second Tower of Prayer in October with a focus on the Person of Jesus. Each hour, our prayers focused on a different aspect of Jesus’s glory, such as Jesus’ compassion; Jesus’ [...]

September 2021

Starting something new is always an adventure, especially in times like these.  In spite of the chaotic times we have been living in and a prolong period of travel limitations, God has given us creative ways to connect and continue blessing, encouraging and equipping people in Jesus’ name.  Here are some of the things we’ve been up to this past year. Tower of Prayer – April 2021 In the beginning of the year, God spoke very clearly to us about starting an international prayer gathering via Zoom.  This wasn’t something we had anticipated being involved when we started Captivated International, but it is likely to [...]

The Truth About God

“…they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator…” Romans 1.25 Have you ever been misunderstood? Misrepresented? Mischaracterized? Falsely accused?  It’s a uniquely painful experience, one that never feels good.  I think it’s safe to say we have all been through experiences like that.  And, if we’re honest, we’ve also been the ones who have misunderstood, misrepresented or made unfair judgements about other people. Ironically, perhaps the most misunderstood person in the universe is the One who created it.  As I was pondering this unfortunate reality, an image came to my mind of God sorting [...]

What Does it Mean to be Captivated?

When something or someone has captivated you, there’s a tangible, almost irresistible draw—like gravity drawing an object toward earth.  Though we may not always recognize it, we are moved by that which captivates us.  Sadly, few of those things which captivate the world today bring lasting joy, peace and purpose.  In the end, there is little satisfaction.  Even in the Church, so many people believe relationship with Jesus is all about being commanded by God rather than captivated by Him.  Many live in a world of ought to and should have, duty and obligation, rather than being driven by a sincere love and devotion, awe [...]
